Cookie policy

About cookies

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Sites can also keep information in your browser's local storage. This policy explains what GottaOffer stores, why, and how you choose. It goes with our privacy policy.

Your choice

When the site uses analytics or advertising tags, a banner asks you on your first visit: Accept all, Essential only, or Choose to switch analytics and advertising on or off separately. Nothing except essential storage is used until you choose, and turning a kind off deletes its cookies. We ask again when this policy changes. To change your mind later, clear the yv_consent cookie in your browser (or clear this site's cookies) and the banner will ask again.

Essential

These make the site work and are always on. None of them is used to track you on other sites.

  • yv_consent (cookie, 180 days): your cookie choice, so we do not ask on every page.
  • yv_saved and yv_saved_checked (local storage): the offers you saved, kept only in your browser.
  • yv_saved_email (local storage): a key linking your saved offers to the reminder emails you asked for.
  • yv_follows (local storage): the stores you follow for alerts.
  • Session storage for the deals assistant's conversation and your display theme, deleted when you close the tab.
  • Stores and affiliate networks set their own cookies when you follow our link to them, to credit the sale to us. They are set on the store's or network's site, under their policies.
  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, up to 2 years): counts visits and shows how the site is used, so we can improve it.
  • Google Tag Manager loads our tags and passes on your choice; it sets no cookie of its own.
  • yv_adclick (cookie, 90 days) and yv_campaign (session storage): the ad you arrived from (Google, Meta or TikTok click identifiers and campaign tags), sent with your clicks so we can tell those platforms which ads led to a sale.
  • Meta pixel (_fbp, _fbc, 90 days), Google Ads (_gcl_*, 90 days) and TikTok pixel (_ttp, up to 13 months): measure our ads and let us show our ads to people who visited the site.

These are set only when we use those services; the banner lists only the kinds the site uses.
